Fixation and non-fixation of the mesh in TEP are
associated with
equally risk of postoperative pain or
recurrence (stronger evidence).
GradeA
If TEP technique is used, non-fixation has to be
considered in all types of inguinal hernias except
large
direct defects (M3, EHS classification) (stronger
recommendation).
